Two Owls Land in National Rankings

Cranford, NJ – Congratulations to UCNJ sophomore wrestlers Joshua Baeza and Chris Gomez, who have both earned spots in The Open Mat’s latest NJCAA Individual Preseason Rankings.

Baeza enters the 2025-26 season ranked #7 at 141 lbs., while Gomez secures the #9 spot at 165 lbs. — a testament to their hard work, consistency, and strong performances on the mat last season. Both student-athletes return as key leaders for the Owls as the team prepares for another competitive year.

With preseason training in full swing, the Owls are focused and ready for the upcoming and the program continues to strengthen its foundation of discipline and intensity.
