Warfield and Battle Qualify for Nationals with Top Rankings
Cranford, NJ - UCNJ Track & Field is heading into the NJCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships with impressive momentum, as both the men’s and women’s throwing squads have earned top national rankings across multiple events.
On the women’s side, Remy Alyssa Warfield has emerged as one of the top throwers in the country. Warfield enters nationals ranked in all three throwing events, highlighted by a #1 national ranking in the javelin with a top mark of 34.21 meters. She also holds the #9 spot in discus (30.60m) and is ranked 10th in shot put (10.22m), showcasing her versatility and consistency across events.
On the men’s side, Zuriel Battle has also positioned himself as a major contender on the national stage. Battle is currently ranked 4th in discus with a throw of 38.97 meters and 4th in shot put with a mark of 14.01 meters, putting him in strong position to compete for podium finishes.
With multiple top-10 national rankings and two athletes ranked in the top five, including a national leader, UCNJ is poised to make a significant impact at the NJCAA Division III Track & Field National Championships. The national stage is set for May 7-9, 2026 at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY.
