UCNJ Men’s Volleyball Earns NJCAA Top-10 Ranking, Sets Sights on Postseason Run
Cranford, NJ - The UCNJ Men’s Volleyball team has capped off an impressive regular season with national recognition, earning the No. 7 ranking in the latest NJCAA poll. As the final week of the regular season concludes, the Owls head into postseason play with strong momentum and confidence.
UCNJ finishes the regular season with a standout 19–7 record, showcasing consistency, depth, and high-level performance throughout the year. Their success has been fueled by dominant individual efforts and a cohesive team approach that has placed them among the nation’s best.
Leading the charge offensively, Brian Robinson has emerged as one of the region’s most efficient hitters, recording a .366 hitting percentage to rank at the top. Orchestrating the offense, Ethen Lugo has been a key playmaker, leading the region with 655 assists and consistently setting up scoring opportunities.
Defensively, Joshua Orihuela has anchored the back row, tallying 271 digs to lead the region and provide stability in crucial moments. At the net, Kareem Jackman has been a force, topping the region with 44 block assists and 63 total blocks. Adding to the Owls’ defensive strength, Matoe Jaramillo ranks second in the region with 38 block assists and 55 total blocks, forming one of the most formidable blocking duos in the conference.
With a top-10 national ranking and multiple statistical leaders, UCNJ now turns its focus to the postseason. The Owls are poised to make a strong run as they look to build on their regular season success and compete for a championship.
