LINCROFT, NJ – The #8 Brookdale Jersey Blues defeated the Owls 22-1 in seven innings at Brookdale on Thursday.
UCC (6-12, 0-3) answered Brookdale's first run in the first inning with one of their own in the top of the second. Then the game got out of reach for the Owls as Brookdale capitalized on an 11-run inning to cement their victory.
Patrick Connolly led the Owls with two hits and a RBI. Calvin Colon reached base safely twice with a hit and a stolen base on the day.
The Owls baseball team will be back in action with a doubleheader this Saturday against Atlantic Cape Community College down the shore. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. with the second game set to start immediately after the first.
