Bio

Coach Jarod Crowe joins the team as UCNJ Women's Volleyball Head Coach, after creating a powerful impact being the asst coach for UCNJ Men's Volleyball. He brings energy, dedication, and a championship mindset to Union College of Union County, NJ (UCNJ) Women’s Volleyball program. A Union native, Coach Jarod Crowe has been coaching for the past few years at various high school and club levels.

Crowe’s coaching journey includes roles at Union High School (girls and boys programs), St. Thomas Aquinas High School, and top-tier club teams such as Garden State Elite and Conquest Volleyball. His resume includes multiple club championships, a Region 19 Champion title (2025) with the UCNJ men’s volleyball team, and tournament wins at both the varsity and freshman levels.

What inspired Crowe to join UCNJ was the opportunity to make a lasting impact at a college close to home—a place where he felt he could truly build something meaningful. His coaching philosophy, “Educate, Experience, and Impact,” reflects his commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who succeed both in competition and in life.

As a player, Crowe was a standout middle blocker and right-side hitter at Saint Elizabeth University, where he helped lead the team to back-to-back conference championship appearances. He earned All-Conference First and Third Team honors and was a key contributor during one of the most successful seasons in program history. He continued his playing career with Sitch VBC at the semi-professional level, capturing a USAV Open National Championship (Copper Division).

Crowe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Saint Elizabeth University. Outside of coaching, he serves as a substitute teacher in the Union Public Schools District, staying connected to the local community and mentoring young people daily.

What he enjoys most about coaching is the mutual growth between coach and player. “I learn just as much from them as they do from me. Being able to relate to their experiences as student-athletes makes it that much more meaningful,” he says.

With a strong foundation, clear vision, and a passion for player development, Coach Jarod Crowe is ready to lead the Owls to new heights.
